The quarterback competition at West Hills Chaminade will be between two transfer students, junior-to-be Brad Kaaya, a transfer from Encino Crespi, and senior-to-be Reggie Reed, a transfer from Simi Valley Grace Brethren.
The 6-foot-4 Kaaya has already impressed Coach Ed Croson. ‘For a 10th grader, he has a pretty big upside,’ Croson said. ‘He has good mechanics. The ball comes off his hand good.’
Reed attended Chaminade as a freshman and sophomore before going to Grace Brethren as a junior, where he was the starter.
