Boys’ basketball: Etiwanda advances to Oaks Christian final

Etiwanda has advanced to the championship game of the Oaks Christian tournament after knocking off Santa Monica, 56-52, in the semifinals.
Dominique Walker scored 18 points and Jordan McLaughlin 12. Jordan Mathews had 25 points for Santa Monica. The Eagles will play Oaks Christian, a 56-50 winner over Cleveland, in Friday’s 8:30 p.m. final. Calabasas advanced to the consolation final with a 68-58 win over Colony. Holden Israel scored 33 points. Palisades defeated Upland, 66-55. Donovan Johnson scored 21 points.
Chaminade won its own tournament championship with a 57-50 victory over Eastside Catholic. Jaron Martin scored 21 points and Jack Williams had 15 points and 13 rebounds. They were named co-MVPs of the tournament.
In consolation games of the Chaminade tournament, Providence won the consolation title with an 82-49 win over Golden Valley. Marcus LoVett scored 29 points. Lancaster defeated Campbell Hall, 52-48. Cole Huff had 15 points and 15 rebounds for Campbell Hall. Dom Vargas scored 13 points in Kennedy’s 50-37 win over St. Monica.
In the Hart tournament, Grant (10-3) advanced to the final with a 76-59 win over Glendale. Gor Plavchyan had 29 points and four blocks.
In the Modesto Christian tournament, Woodland Hills El Camino Real defeated Sacramento Burbank, 61-45. Julian Richardson had 15 points and Mike Thomas 14.
