Colleges want offensive linemen, and there are a good group in Southern California this season.
Few are better than Max Tuerk of Santa Margarita who’s already committed to USC. He’s 6 feet 6, weighs 296 pounds and enjoys getting a pancake or two.
Kyle Murphy of San Clemente and Jordan Simmons of Encino Crespi are considered in the same class as Tuerk with big-time college potential.
Travis Averill of Anaheim Servite is committed to Boise State. Mission VIejo has two top college prospects in Colby Cyburt and Austin Maas. Compton Dominguez has a pair of imposing linemen in Lacy Westbrook and Dejon Allen.
A good offensive line can lead to a championship, so beware of Servite, Alemany, Corona Centennial, Chaminade, Arroyo Grande, Mission Viejo and Crespi. All have the potential of putting together top offensive lines.
