Football: Fontana Miller loses without its coach

Fontana Miller was beaten by Redlands East Valley, 21-7, on Thursday in the Citrus Belt League title decider, and Miller Coach Jeff Strycula was not on the sideline after being relieved of his coaching duties before the game, according to the Riversde Press-Enterprise.

Principal Heather Griggs declined comment, telling the newspaper it was a personnel issue.

Miller, however, had a number of players suspended in 2009 because of a hazing incident, and if another occurred, that would be trouble for Strycula.
