The Southern California Regional pairings for boys’ and girls’ basketball are scheduled to be released at 5 p.m. and should be posted at Varsity Times Insider.

The CIF state playoffs culminate with the state championships March 26-27 at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield. The Southern California Regional finals are March 20 at Galen Center for Division I, II and III and at Ontario Colony for IV and V.

There should be a little excitement for Division I boys. Will Santa Ana Mater Dei or Westchester get the No. 1 seed? And will City Section runner-up Woodland Hills Taft get to face Etiwanda at some point in the playoffs? Those two schools have played several memorable games in recent years.

UPDATE: CIF link is not working very well. I know that Santa Ana Mater Dei is No. 1 seed for Division I boys, followed by Westchester, Etiwanda and Taft.
