I guess you can’t be a secret weapon anymore if everyone knows about you. And that’s the case with junior Tre Madden, a linebacker and backup quarterback who has become so valuable that opposing coaches worry at the thought of what to do about him.
Madden comes in on offense to run Mission Viejo’s version of the wildcat, and he’s tough to stop. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame Coach Kevin Rooney said, ‘He’s a very impressive athlete.’
Next up for 12-0 Mission Viejo is an Orange County clash on Friday night at Cerritos College against Anaheim Servite in the Pac-5 Division semifinals.
If the Friars are going to advance, they better figure out how to contain Madden and the wildcat.
