Football: Notre Dame trailing 21-0 at halftime

It’s been all Mission Viejo so far in tonight’s Southern Section Pac-5 Division quarterfinal.

The Diablos preserved a 21-0 lead by stopping Notre Dame on downs in the waning seconds of the first half. On 4th-and 17 at the Mission Viejo 40-yard line, Knights quarterback Ryan Kasdorf was flushed out of the pocket but threw complete to Tyler Thomas, who was tackled immediately at the 16, a yard short of a first down.

Mission Viejo took over and, after two kneel downs by quarterback Dallin McEwen, heads to the locker room with all of the momentum.
