Former Lakewood High running back Jerry Stone will be tried as an adult on two counts of attempted murder and two counts of assault with a firearm in connection with a drive-by shooting in August in which no one was injured.
If convicted on all counts, Stone, 17, could face life in prison. Stone pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment earlier this month and is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Compton Superior Court so that a date can be scheduled for a preliminary hearing.
