Sophomore left-hander Henry Owens of Huntington Beach Edison is handling the pressure of pitching in the Southern Section Division I semifinals quite well. He has five strikeouts in three shutout innings for Edison against Santa Ana Mater Dei in a scoreless game.

Ian McCarthy of Mater Dei has allowed one hit.
