San Francisco picked up another commitment from a Southland player when Taft guard Michael Williams told the Dons’ coaching staff that he was coming, Toreadors Coach Derrick Taylor said.
Williams could be the fourth incoming freshman from Southern California to play for San Francisco next season. The Dons have signed Etiwanda’s Perris Blackwell, have a commitment from Ocean View’s Mason Jones and are scheduled to host Westchester’s Dominique O’Connor, the City Section player of the year, on an official visit next week. Westchester Coach Ed Azzam said O’Connor is also considering San Diego State and Fresno State.
Williams averaged 18.7 points and 4.1 assists for Taft, the City runner-up.
