David Skara kicked a 45-yard field goal, making up for an earlier miss, to pull top-seeded Long Beach Poly within 10-3 of Lakewood midway through the second quarter.

The Jackrabbits converted a fourth-and-one play on the drive before settling for the field goal. Running back Melvin Richardson is starting to show some signs of elusiveness for Poly.
