Well, if Ndamukong Suh ever flames out of the NFL, he can take up wine-making. He’d probably be the best grape stomper around.
The stumbling Detroit Lions are waiting to see what kind of fine and/or suspension the NFL will give their star defensive tackle after Suh was ejected from Thursday’s game against Green Bay for stomping on Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith. You can see video of the incident above. Watch it, then come back here for Suh’s hilarious explanation.
‘My intention was not to kick anybody, as I did not, removing myself,’ he said. ‘I was on top of a guy, being pulled down, and trying to get up off the ground -- and why you see me pushing his helmet down, because I’m trying to remove myself from the situation, and as I’m getting up, I’m getting pushed, so I’m getting myself on balance.’
Right. He was balancing himself. I always stomp hard with my right foot when I’m trying to balance myself. Quick motions are great for balancing yourself.
A few weeks ago, Suh met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss his play. So apparently Suh doesn’t listen too well either. Perhaps he had to balance himself during that meeting and couldn’t hear Goodell over his foot-stomping.
Meanwhile, Suh’s team is also out of balance, falling to 7-4 with the loss to Green Bay after beginning the season 5-0.
