Pac-12 football: Oregon looks to use De’Anthony Thomas

Oregon Coach Chip Kelly made it clear at Tuesday’s Pac-12 media day that one of his tasks is to develop a plan to take advantage of the speed of freshman De’Anthony Thomas from Crenshaw High, the City Section player of the year.

‘De’Anthony can flat out run,’ Kelly said.

Thomas, a running back who chose Oregon over USC, will be competing for the No. 3 spot in Oregon’s running back rotation.

‘I believe it’s our coaches’ job to figure out a way to see if we can get him the football,’ Kelly said.
