USC football: Jurrell Casey honored as USC’s most valuable player

Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey was honored as USC’s most valuable player during the football program’s awards banquet Sunday night at the Galen Center.

Fullback Stanley Havili, who recently underwent shoulder surgery, was voted the most inspirational player.

Mike McKeever Memorial Award (Team MVP) -- Jurrell Casey, DT, Junior

Davis-Teschke Award (Most Inspirational) -- Stanley Havili, FB, Senior

Marv Goux Award (UCLA game MVP) -- Allen Bradford, RB, Senior

Bob Chandler Award (Outstanding Underclassman) -- Robert Woods, WR, Freshman

Jack Oakie ‘Rise and Shine’ Award (Longest Run) -- Bradford’s 73-yarder vs. UCLA Trojan Football Alumni Award (Highest GPA) -- Augusto Alonzo, LB, Sophomore

Chris Carlisle Courage Award -- Christian Tupou, DT, Senior

Harry & Marion Keiper USC Lifters Award -- Tupou and Havili

Joe Wilson Walk-On Award -- Tony Burnett, DB, Sophomore

John Dye Offensive Lineman of the Year - Tyron Smith, RG, Junior
