Terry Murray switches lines ... but might switch them again

Kings Coach Terry Murray, eager to squeeze some offense out of a team that was shut out Monday and has scored only four goals in losing its last four games, switched up his lines at practice Tuesday.

However, he later said the combinations he used Tuesday might not be the ones he uses in the Kings’ next game, against the Florida Panthers on Thursday at Staples Center.

Also, defenseman Matt Greene didn’t practice Tuesday, a club official said. The reason was a ‘maintenance day.’ Translation: He has some kind of bump/bruise and was getting treatment.

Murray, whose team has lost seven of eight games, used these lines Tuesday:

Dustin Brown-Anze Kopitar-Justin Williams

Ryan Smyth-Jarret Stoll-Trevor Lewis

Kyle Clifford-Michal Handzus-Wayne Simmonds

Brad Richardson-John Zeiler-Kevin Westgarth

The spare forwards were Dwight King and Brayden Schenn.

Defenseman Willie Mitchell (fractured left hand) and winger Alexei Ponikarovsky (broken finger) skated after practice, but neither is close to returning.

After practice, the team made its annual holiday visit to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
