Goaltending in the NHL is hazardous enough without having to worry about your own teammates hurting you.
But Florida Panthers goalie Tomas Vokoun on Monday suffered a lacerated ear after being hit in the left side of the head by the stick of a frustrated teammate during the team’s game against the Atlanta Thrashers.
According to the Panthers’ web site, Vokoun was taken to a hospital in Atlanta for treatment.
