Shane Mosley’s wife files for divorce

Shane Mosley’s wife, Jin, confirmed months of rumors that the Pomona boxer’s marriage to his manager was on the rocks. She filed for divorce this week in L.A. County, citing irreconcilable differences, the Associated Press reported.

Jin Mosley, married to Shane since 2002, is seeking custody of their three children, along with spousal support and the payment of her legal fees.

The couple was conspicuously apart in the weeks before Mosley defeated Antonio Margarito by ninth-round TKO Jan. 24 at Staples Center. Friends confirmed the marriage had crumbled, but requested privacy in case a reunion occurred.

Mosley, 37, is trying to position himself to fight the winner of the May 2 Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight, although a rematch with former world welterweight champion Miguel Cotto remains possible.
