ABC News president Ben Sherwood confirmed Thursday morning that former sports anchor Paula Faris will join the overnight and early morning shows ‘World News Now’ and ‘America This Morning’ as a co-anchor.
Faris previously worked for WMAQ, the NBC station in Chicago, where she covered sports for six years. She signed off from her post there earlier this month. News of her hire at ABC News began circulating in October.
She’ll co-host ‘World News Now’ and ‘America This Morning’ alongside Rob Nelson beginning Jan. 2.
