The alums keep coming back! Carol Burnett will return to “All My Children†for a few episodes in September, ABC announced Friday.

Burnett will reprise her role as Verla Grubbs, who first made her Pine Valley appearance in 1983 as the long-lost daughter of Langley Wallingford (played by the late Louis Edmonds).

It won’t be the first return visit for flame-haired comic actress. Burnett returned to the soap in 1995 for the show’s 25th anniversary. And she reprised her role for the show’s 35th-anniversary episode in 2005.
