Fans waiting for new music from the multiplatinum entertainer won’t have to wait much longer.

Tuesday (1/11/11 for all you number geeks out there) Spears is releasing “Hold It Against Me,†the lead single off her upcoming as-yet-untitled seventh album -– and her first new offering since 2009’s “3.â€

A demo version of the Dr. Luke (“California Gurls,†“We R Who We Râ€) and Max Martin (“DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love,†“Dynamiteâ€) produced track -- sans her trademark breathy vocals -- leaked Thursday, and in true Spears fashion, she is headed straight to the dance floor with a club anthem.

Spears took to Twitter on Thursday to tease fans with the official single artwork and confirmed the leaked version was just an early demo.

The track will premiere simultaneously on radio stations and be available in the U.S. through the iTunes store, Tuesday at 12 a.m. Fans will have the opportunity to buy the song until Jan. 18.
