Carly Fiorina dropped into her Sacramento headquarters Saturday to talk to volunteers who were making phone calls on her behalf.

Fiorina is in the middle of a three-day campaign swing that took her to San Diego and Seal Beach on Saturday morning and will take her to Bakersfield, Palm Desert and the San Francisco Bay Area before the weekend is over.

In Sacramento, she joined Pete and Nicole Parra -- the father and daughter who served as Kern County supervisor and assemblywoman respectively. Both were elected as Democrats and are co-chairing a coalition of Democrats and independent voters for Fiorina.

The Parras led a group of about two dozen volunteers who were on hand to make calls on Fiorina’s behalf Saturday. The phone calls were directed at Democratic and decline-to-state voters.

Fiorina made three calls, including one to a decline-to-state voter named Mary Beth from Elk Grove, south of Sacramento. Unlike the other two voters Fiorina spoke to, Mary Beth was still undecided on the Senate race after a five-minute conversation with the Republican candidate about education issues.

‘I think she’s 95% there,’ Fiorina told her supporters after the conversation. The candidate focused on jobs and the economy during brief remarks to her volunteers and about 10 reporters, and she took shots at her Democratic opponent, Sen. Barbara Boxer.

‘The policies that Barbara Boxer has pursued, including the stimulus, have failed,’ she said. Fiorina said that this election was about ‘holding people accountable for their performance’ and that Boxer had failed as a member of Congress.

‘For 34 years, Barbara Boxer has acted as if she’s accountable to no one,’ said Fiorina.

Fiorina responded to comments Boxer made on the stump Saturday, alluding to remarks the Republican made after the primary about the Democrat’s hair being ‘so yesterday.’ In comments today, Boxer said Fiorina’s policies were outdated.

‘I actually think it is Barbara Boxer’s policies that have been tried and failed,’ Fiorina said. ‘Barbara Boxer is campaigning today on the exact same things she campaigned on in 1992. That’s pretty yesterday to me.’
