Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman has given herself another $4 million with just three weeks before the June 8 primary election.
Since 2009, Whitman has given her campaign more than $68 million -- shattering state spending records for political campaigns.
Whitman’s Republican rival Steve Poizner has given his campaign more than $24 million.
Whitman was asked Monday if she would be contributing more money to her campaign before the June 8 primary. She said only that she ‘feels good’ about where her campaign is, and was committed to having the resources needed to defeat Steve Poizner in June.
