A new Los Angeles Times/USC Poll has found that Californians don’t want to increase taxes, but they do want to increase spending. With the state’s deficit expected to hit $25 billion in the coming 18 months, neither can be an option. As The Times’ editorial board stated last Friday, ‘It will require both tax increases and spending cuts, over the course of several years, to eliminate the structural deficit.’ Read the full editorial here.
