Frank Ocean wrote Saturday that he has no plans to seek criminal charges against Chris Brown over a brawl they got into over parking space at a West Hollywood recording studio last month.
Brown allegedly punched Ocean during the brawl Sunday night in the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, authorities said.
Authorities said initially that Ocean wanted to press charges against Brown.
But on Saturday, Ocean wrote on his Tumblr page that he wanted to matter dropped.
‘No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom,’ he wrote.
Brown is on probation for assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles the night before the Grammys in February 2009. He also reportedly got into a fight with singer Drake last summer at a New York nightclub. Officials said deputies responded Sunday to a report of six men fighting at the recording studio. Witnesses told them Brown and Ocean were involved in a brawl over a parking spot. After the brief clash, the parties were separated, and Brown and his entourage left before deputies arrived, officials said.
