The ex-boyfriend of Halle Berry claims he suffered severe injuries at the hands of the actress’ fiance during a Thanksgiving brawl.
In court papers filed Monday, Gabriel Aubry says he suffered a fractured rib, bruises to the face and cuts that required stiches.
Aubry is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 13 after a Thanksgiving Day altercation with the actress’ fiance, French actor Olivier Martinez, at her Hollywood Hills home.
Aubry, who has a daughter with the Academy Award-winning actress, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after police responded to a call that he had gotten into a fistfight with Martinez, Los Angeles police Officer Julie Boyer said.
Aubry was arrested and taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was treated for facial wounds, and was then booked at the LAPD’s downtown jail, Boyer said.
He was released at 6:25 p.m. after posting $20,000 bail, she said.
He’s seeking a restraining order against Martinez. Berry filed a protective order against Aubry last week.
