Hollywood reacts to the death of Dennis Hopper

Here are more reactions to the death of Dennis Hopper, who died of cancer on Saturday. He was 74.
Tom Rosenberg, a producer on the 2008 film ‘Elegy’ starring Hopper, Ben Kingsley and Penelope Cruz: ‘He had so much experience not just as an actor, but also a director. He understood everything we were trying to do, he really got inside this character…. There was a lot of the character in him and him in the character.’
Mark Canton, a producer who spoke at ceremonies in March when Hopper received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: ‘He was an incredible and gifted American artist and incredible friend. … I will miss him dearly.’
