Live discussion: ‘NFL Slam with Mark and Sam’
Join Times NFL columnist Sam Farmer and NFL fan extraordinaire Mark Thompson of Mark and Brian radio fame at 11:30 a.m. PST today for a live video chat on Week 9 in the NFL.
Sunday was a day for swing teams that have turned things around -- one way or another. The Indianapolis Colts, a year ago in the depths of post-Peyton Manning depression, have emerged behind their young quarterback. Andrew Luck has proved to be as good as many people thought, and he has the Colts at 5-3 after their 23-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins.
Chicago, which went into a tailspin at the end of last season, has swung things around as well, and with Jay Cutler leading the way, the Bears are cruising along with a 7-1 record.
In Arizona, the Cardinals, after jumping off to a 4-0 start, are moving in the other direction fast. They’ve now lost five in a row.
Atlanta remains the only undefeated team in the league, something that could be tested next week at New Orleans. The Saints play host to the struggling Philadelphia Eagles tonight. Michael Vick’s last stand?
Check out Mark’s and Sam’s NFL Slam. All those topics and many more will be on the table.
