Miley Cyrus pays tribute to Michael Jordan with latest racy outfit
In her latest attempt to shock the world, Miley Cyrus posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing a scandalous (she hopes) ensemble that pays tribute to Michael Jordan.
Yep. Just in case that infamous foam finger on the VMAs didn’t show just how much of a sports fan she is, Cyrus can be seen in the photo wearing nothing but a red bra that say “Jordan†across the back and red panties with “23†on the butt. You know, pretty much the same outfit MJ wore all the time back with the Chicago Bulls.
This probably has something to do with her forthcoming single, “23,†and the fact that she was filming the video for it this week. Collaborator Mike Will Made It posted an Instagram video from the shoot that features Cyrus rapping while perched on a basketball hoop.
Yes, Cyrus is rapping ... but that’s another topic for another day.
The Hollywood Life website posted what it says are the lyrics to the yet-to-be-released song, and they don’t seem to have anything to do with basketball ... and little to do with Jordan himself, other than references to wearing “J’s†(slang for Air Jordan shoes).
Cyrus may actually be a Jordan fan. She was recently photographed out and about in L.A. wearing his jersey (the traditional kind, not transformed into undergarments). Or perhaps that was just to promote “23†as well.
Here’s my theory on the Instagram photo: Cyrus woke up Monday morning with the horrible thought that every single person in the country wasn’t talking about her.
Sure, that racy performance of hers on the VMAs the night before was all most people could even think about that day. But maybe, just maybe, there was some dark corner of some room someplace where a couple of people might be chatting about something other than the former child star gone wild ... like, say, sports?
So one Instagram photo later, here we are talking about Miley Cyrus on a sports blog.
Well played, Cyrus. Well played.
