Kobe Bryant is 34 years old. He’s logged 42,377 minutes. He’s won five championships. He’s a two-time Finals MVP.

Yet he apparently still feels the need to make a statement at practice.

“Every day,†he said.

During a five-on-five scrimmage Tuesday, Bryant dazzled with consecutive slam dunks.

One of the dunks was a one-handed jam over Lakers forward Antawn Jamison.

“Antawn took a charge on me in practice the other day and I wasn’t very appreciative of that, Bryant said. “So I wanted to make sure he knew if he tried to take another charge what was going to happen to him.â€

Don’t mess with this old man.

Bryant then proceeded to showcase his indefatigable work ethic.

After practice had ended and after Bryant spent nearly 10 minutes speaking with the media, he returned to the court to do drills.
