Kobe Bryant misses two practices Friday because of sore right foot
Kobe Bryant has a track record of playing through injuries. But he opted to sit out two practice sessions Friday because of a sore right foot, a Lakers spokesman said.
The Lakers initially believed Bryant would sit out only the morning session, but indicated his foot was still bothering him enough to warrant sitting out in the evening practice. Nonetheless, the Lakers don’t consider Bryant’s injury to be serious and are listing him as day to day.
The Lakers are scheduled to practice between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at the team’s facility in El Segundo before traveling to Fresno for their preseason opener Sunday against Golden State.
