It seemed inevitable given all the injuries Xavier Henry accrued this season.

So the Lakers made it official Friday -- he’s done for the season.

Henry won’t play in their final seven games because of wrist and knee injuries. He appeared in only 43 games this season, averaging 10 points.

He is pondering surgery options, saying he will reach a decision soon.

If he needs a procedure on his right knee, where he sustained a bone bruise and cartilage abnormality, the recovery period would be six to eight weeks, he said. He wasn’t as certain about the recovery time for surgery to repair a ruptured ligament in his left wrist.

“My body is going to continually hurt as long as I keep pounding it and pounding it,†Henry said Friday. “It’s tough to play with.â€

“I hope to be here,†he said. “I hope they want me, but you never know.â€
