Lakers’ initial Las Vegas summer league schedule announced
The NBA announced its Las Vegas summer league schedule on Wednesday, featuring 22 teams competing in a 61-game schedule.
The Lakers will make their debut on the league’s opening night July 12, playing the Cleveland Cavaliers.
NBA TV will televise a full slate of games, held at both the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion.
The Lakers are initially scheduled to play three games:
Friday, July 12: Cleveland Cavaliers — 5 p.m.
Sunday, July 14: Portland Trail Blazers — 3:30 p.m.
Monday, July 15: Clippers — 5 p.m.
Teams will compete in three preliminary-round games July 12-16 before being seeded in a tournament running through the championship game July 22. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games. The winner will be crowned “the first ever NBA Summer League Champion.â€
The Lakers haven’t announced their roster yet but free-agent forward Marcus Landry is expected to be on team.
