‘The dog! The dog!’ Camera crew spots tornado survivor’s missing dog
In video not to be missed, a survivor of the tornado that tore through Moore, Okla., was speaking to a reporter about how she sought protection in her bathroom and was holding tight to her dog when the twister blasted her home to pieces.
Standing amid the rubble, Barbara Garcia tells a CBS reporter how she survived the massive tornado that ripped apart houses and left at least 24 people dead.

She said she was holding her dog in her bathroom. “I felt the stool come up out of the floor.... I rolled around a little bit.â€
“I hollered for my little dog and he didn’t answer; he didn’t come,†she said, gesturing to the rubble of her home. “I know he’s in here somewhere.â€
Then, mid-interview, a member of the camera crew says, “The dog! The dog! Hi, puppy!â€
An emotional Garcia asks for help getting the rubble off her pet, who staggers slowly out of the heap.
“I thought God just answered one prayer to let me be OK,†Garcia says, her voice shaking, “but he answered both of them.â€
