Three residential fires that broke out in carports early Tuesday in Rosemead are being investigated as arson by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

As many as 15 vehicles and multiple structures were damaged in the fires, which caused an estimated $275,000 in damage, the Sheriff’s Department said in a press release. No injuries were reported and all evacuated residents were able to reenter their homes.

The Temple Sheriff’s Station first received a call at 2:26 a.m. about a fire in the 3000 block of Jackson Avenue. Deputies arriving at the scene saw another fire in the 7000 block of Hellman Avenue. About 10 minutes later, a third fire was reported in the 2500 block of Del Mar Avenue.

Arson investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department believe the fires were intentionally set.

“It’s unclear if the carport area itself was on fire initially, or the cars themselves,†said Sgt. Aura Sierra of the Sheriff’s Department. “It’s still being investigated.â€

Sierra said that no one has been arrested in connection with the case, and authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects.
