Palmdale man accused of stealing purse, wallet from elderly
An 18-year-old Palmdale man has been arrested in connection with at least two robberies of elderly victims in the Antelope Valley city.
Terrill Keith Clem allegedly confessed to committing two burglaries over the last week in Palmdale: Snatching a purse from a 64-year-old man who was holding it for his wife Wednesday and stealing the wallet of a 93-year-old man who was washing his truck Monday, authorities said.
“During the investigation of the July 24th robbery, it appeared suspect Clem matched the description of one of the suspects in the robbery of the 93-year-old victim,†Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials said in a news release.
“During an interrogation, Clem confessed to being involved in both robberies. The second suspect is still at large in that case†of the 93-year-old, the statement read.
Authorities said they were investigating whether Clem also was involved in other outstanding robberies. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at the Antelope Valley Courthouse.
