Rescue crews appear to have found the second of two hikers who went missing in the Trabuco Canyon area of Orange County.

TV helicopter footage showed a woman moving in the brush as crews moved toward her.

The development came Thursday after search officials said they had received reports of a woman’s voice being heard in the Trabuco Canyon area, where crews have been searching for days.

Lt. Jason Park of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said that an “informant†reached out to a rescue team, say they’d heard a woman in distress.

Kyndall Jack, 18, of Costa Mesa, had been missing in the canyons of south Orange County since Sunday, when she and friend Nicholas Cendoya called authorities and said they had gotten lost on their hike. Cendoya, 19, was found dehydrated and disoriented on Wednesday night, about half a mile from where he parked his car.

Cendoya was found off a gravel road that had been traversed by rescue crews and volunteers who had come to join in the search, officials said at a news conference. Rescuers had to slash through thick brush to get to him, who was wearing board shorts and a shirt but did not have shoes, Park said.

Cendoya was dehydrated and disoriented when he was found, his arms and legs covered in scratches, officials said. He was rushed to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where he arrived in “very serious†condition, said Dr. Michael Ritter.

Ritter said Thursday that Cendoya was responding well to treatment and would likely be released in a few days.
