Man wanted in woman’s horrific death on 210 Freeway turns himself in
A man suspected of driving a car on the 210 Freeway in Sylmar last week from which a female passenger fell and was killed has turned himself in to authorities.
Ricardo “Rick†Jimenez, 26, turned himself in to the Glendale Police Department on Saturday morning, Los Angeles police Lt. Paul Vernon said in a statement. Police had issued a photo of Jimenez and asked for the public’s help in finding him.
Maria Josefina “Josie†Jimenez, 22, was killed Thursday when she fell out of the passenger door of the vehicle driven by Jimenez on the freeway, police said. She was struck by multiple vehicles and killed.
Earlier, Vernon said that investigators believed that Josie Jiminez may have been physically abused the night before she died. The couple were unrelated but authorities believe they were in a relationship.
