The Orange County coroner’s office has positively identified one of two male bodies found in a Huntington Beach Park as a 32-year-old parolee.

Abraham Felmley “was found dead with what appears to be a gunshot wound,†according to the coroner’s report. Officials estimate he died just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The identity of the second body has not yet been released.

At the time of Felmley’s death, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department had been hoping to question him about a house fire that occurred Monday.

Felmley was described in a sheriff’s news release as a “wanted parolee,†but the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation did not have prison records readily available Wednesday morning to explain why he was on parole.

Two dead men related to Felmley were found inside a residence on the 7300 block of French Road in unincorporated Sacramento.

Both had suffered trauma unrelated to the fire, but the cause of death and the cause of the fire remained unknown, said Sharon Chow, a spokeswoman for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

The Sheriff’s Department and other agencies identified Felmley as a “person of interest†in the fire through a sequence of stolen vehicles.

A white pickup truck belonging to one of the fire victims was found in Merced on Monday at the location of a reported carjacking.

The suspect, believed to be Felmley, left the pickup truck in Merced and demanded the phone and keys of a man who was fishing near Highway 152. The Merced victim described a man similar to Felmley, and his 1992 Toyota was found at the location of Felmley’s death, Chow said.
