Falls fire near Lake Elsinore 20% contained, officials say
The Falls fire near Lake Elsinore had consumed 1,416 acres and was 20% contained, according to the latest update Tuesday from Cal Fire and Riverside County Fire Department officials.
Mandatory evacuation notices remained for Decker Canyon and were lifted for Lakeland Village and Rancho Capistrano, according to fire officials.
The flames, which were first reported Monday morning, prompted nearby residents and journalists alike to take to Twitter, posting photos and videos of the smoke and flames:
