Craig Thornton’s Wolvesmouth dinners to surface

Los Angeles chef Craig Thornton’s underground supper club, Wolvesmouth, will soon be heading above-ground, according to an article in the Dec. 3 food issue of The New Yorker:

“At the beginning of September, Thornton found a place where he could re-create Wolvesmouth, undiluted but legitimate: open kitchen, communal seating for twenty-four, with room for a takeout counter,†reports New Yorker staff writer Dana Goodyear. “He plans to offer one seating a night, with eight to ten courses for a set price of a hundred and ten dollars, and to sell tickets in advance. Opening might be as soon as January.â€

For the last two years Thornton has been hosting the secret supper club at a loft apartment in downtown Los Angeles. Goodyear’s article – an excellent read – deems Wolvesmouth underground dinners “the toughest reservation in town.â€
