Lululemon will soon have a new way to sell pants

Lululemon is changing the way customers shop for pants with a new selling concept that sorts pants by the way they feel rather than by style and size.

The redesigned pant wall, to debut in mid-September, will feature five categories of sensation: relaxed, naked, held-in, hugged and tight (ranging from lowest compression to highest). The idea is that this will make it easier to select pants tailored to a your activity, whether it’s running, taking a barre class, Pilates, yoga -- your choice!

Cleobella, which carries women’s and children’s clothing, bags and jewelry handmade in Bali, just remodeled the 1920s beach cottage it calls home.

The shop is located just a short walk from the sand at Sunset Beach, at 16792 14th St.

When it opened in 2012, the space served as both a retail shop and a design studio/office, but Cleobella grew quickly and moved the office to Huntington Beach last October. Owner Angela O’Brien and Tina Twigger Interior Design then embarked on a redesign of the cottage, to turn it into Cleobella’s “flagship boutique.â€

The most striking additions are three large plate glass windows, embellished with hand-painted designs that frame the mannequins inside.

The Cleobella line has a beachy, boho vibe with on-trend details, such as this fall’s in-style fringe (seen on some purses, dresses and jackets). Prices range from about $68 for a T-shirt to more than $600 for a weekender bag.

Besides employing artisans in Bali, Cleobella pledges a percentage of all sales to help women in South East Asia through CARE.org.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, closed Sunday.
