Quotes of note: In leading up to Lynch’s award, “Glee†cast members ticked off insults hurled at them by the honoree’s TV persona, Sue Sylvester. First up at the microphone, Colfer named “porcelain,†“gay kid,†“Eddie Munster,†“dough face†and “twinkle tush,†before adding, “Frankly, I’m proud of that last one.â€

Accepting her award with characteristic humor, Lynch said, “I‘d love at this moment to be falsely modest and say that I am no hero… I’d love to be able to say what I do is not extraordinary, but I can’t -- I deserve this frigging award.“ She then enumerated all she doesn’t do for the cause, finally calling herself lucky for appearing on “Glee,†which she said portrays “how people are when they have each other’s back and when people are celebrated for who they are.“

The numbers: Tickets ranged from $200 to $2,500. Total proceeds, which also included on-site donations, a silent auction and live auction sales, are yet to be tabulated.
