Last year, fans of Aaron Sorkin were in equal parts amused and disappointed by “Sorkinisms,†the YouTube video cut together by editor Kevin Porter, which revealed just how much the prolific TV and film scribe recycles bits of his own dialogue.

Now, with the second season premiere of “The Newsroom†just around the corner on July 14, fans can ease back into their love/frustration with Sorkin by watching a brand new collection of examples of his writing shortcuts. As Porter has titled it, “Sorkinisms II: The Disappointing Sequel.â€

The first video has received more than 750,000 views since last summer featuring more than seven minutes worth of clips from Sorkin hits, such as “The West Wing†and “The Social Network,†as well as his misses, like “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.â€

The followup video is even longer, more than eight minutes, and amazingly collects even more examples of repeated phrases, conversations and interesting factoids.

As it turns out, bits of ceiling falling on desks is a Sorkin favorite, as is punching monitors. Sorkin has a particular affinity for the country of Belgium. He also has fondness for such obscure phrases as “It’s six to five and pick em†and “I’m never, ever sick at sea.â€

Sorkin’s characters love to drop references to their college education (there’s a lot of Ivy League in the Sorkin-verse) and tell one another, “I don’t give a damn!â€

Sometimes (OK, a lot of times) they like to speechify, and quite often those speeches seem suspiciously familiar.

Will the new season of “The Newsroom†add to the list? We’ll all know in a few short days.
