Showtime developing basketball family project: Is it based on Lakers?
Hoop dreams may be coming to Showtime.

It might. Ron Shelton, the creative force behind iconic sports movies such as “Bull Durham†and “White Men Can’t Jump,†is an executive producer of the project. Jeanie Buss, the daughter of late Lakers owner Jerry Buss, will be an executive producer, along with Linda Rambis, the wife of current Lakers assistant coach and former player Kurt Rambis.
Also on the production team is former Lakers coach -- and Buss’ fiance -- Phil Jackson, and Rambis.
