We LIT-ruh-lee don’t know what to say: “Parks and Recreation†stars Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones will be exiting the series.

The pair will bid adieu in the middle of the upcoming sixth season, The Times confirmed. The Amy Poehler-led comedy, about a group of low-level government employees, is currently across the pond, filming its one-hour premiere in London -- making it hard to get further info from co-creator and show runner Mike Schur. The duo will exit together in Episode 13.

The news, first reported by BuzzFeed, is surely causing social media meltdowns at this moment. Jones has been with the series since its inception, as Ann Perkins, staying in the NBC circuit following a stint on “The Office.†Lowe joined the NBC comedy in Season 2 and crafted character Chris Traeger into a meme fixture.

Last season ended with Ann and Chris trying to start a family -- start the theories now.

Though it’s never established itself as a ratings powerhouse, “Parks and Recreation†proved to be one of the network’s few consistent entities -- still charming critics and earning awards recognition.

It was renewed for a full season -- and is only one of two returning comedies for the network (along with “Communityâ€). The only surviving Thursday fixture, it will be joined this fall by a heap of new family-centered comedies and returning drama “Parenthood.â€
