Michelle Obama stops by ‘The Late Show’ (again)
After bringing down the house Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention, First Lady Michelle Obama popped up Wednesday on “The Late Show†to deliver the Top 10 list, marking her fourth appearance on the show and her second time in just the past week.
The list itself, “Top 10 reasons to watch the Democratic National Convention,†included a few good lines (No. 3: “It’s got to be better than what you’re watching nowâ€) as well as some groaners (No. 10: Spoiler alert: The Democrats will nominate Barack Obamaâ€).
While Obama’s appearance wasn’t as dazzling as her speech – or as funny as her potato-sack race against Jimmy Fallon in February -- it did speak to Obama’s growing ease in her role as “first celebrity.†This year alone, she’s popped up on “The Colbert Report,†“The Late Show,†“The Tonight Show,†and “Late Night,†not to mention “Top Chef,†“The Biggest Loser†and “Dr. Oz.â€
Last week Obama admitted to David Letterman that she hadn’t been watching much of the Republican convention. It’s no wonder: With a schedule like hers, who has time for TV?
