Fox orders animated comedy series ‘Bordertown’ from Seth MacFarlane
Just when it looked like Seth MacFarlane would have only one show on Fox, the network gave a 13-episode order to a new animated comedy series called “Bordertown.â€
With “American Dad†moving to TBS and “The Cleveland Show†getting canceled, the hugely successful “Family Guy†was MacFarlane’s last animated series standing. “Bordertown†will now join it next season.
MacFarlane will be an executive producer of the show alongside its writer and “Family Guy†producer Mark Hentemann. Alex Carter (“Family Guyâ€) and Dan Vebber (“America Dad,†“Futuramaâ€) are also on board as co-executive producers.

“Bordertown†cracks wise on the hot-button topic of immigration. It takes place in a fictional Texas town and follows the travails of a border patrol agent named Bud Buckwald. The married father of three lives next door to a Mexican immigrant family of six headed by hardworking Ernesto Gonzales.
Needless to say, plenty of politically incorrect jokes are sure to follow.
“Bordertown†is part of a Fox 2014-2015 lineup that includes “Sleepy Hollow,†“Bob’s Burgers,†“Glee†and “The Simpsons.†New additions include “Mulaney,†“Hieroglyph,†“Gotham†and a recently ordered, still-untitled comedy from Tina Fey, Matt Hubbard and Robert Carlock.
