GLAAD is not pleased with A&E’s decision reversing the suspension of Phil Robertson from “Duck Dynasty.â€

“Phil Robertson should look African American and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising Jim Crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists,†the organization said in a statement. “If dialogue with Phil is not part of next steps then A+E has chosen profits over African American and gay people – especially its employees and viewers.â€

GLAAD was one of the key groups that condemned Robertson after controversial comments he made about gays and blacks in GQ magazine. The group’s outrage helped prompt the suspension of Robertson by A&E.

A&E announced that they were lifting the suspension, allowing the show to resume filming in the spring with the entire Robertson family.
