2013 TV Upfronts: ‘CSI: New York’ among four shows canceled by CBS

CBS has canceled two veteran series, “CSI: New York†and “Rules of Engagement,†while also axing the freshman series “Vegas†and “Golden Boy.â€

“CSI: New York,†which starred Gary Sinese and Sela Ward, was the sole remaining spinoff of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,†which is still going strong on the network. The drama premiered in 2004.

“Rules of Engagement,†a relationship comedy that starred David Spade and Patrick Warburton, premiered in 2007.

CRITICS’ PICKS: What to watch, where to go, what to eat and more

“Vegas,†which starred Dennis Quaid as a rancher/lawman butting heads with a ruthless Chicago gangster played by Michael Chiklis in 1960s Las Vegas. It premiered last fall but never drew a large audience.

“Golden Boy,†about a cop who became the youngest police commissioner in the history of New York City, premiered at midseason. The series starred Theo James and Chi McBride.
