Jay-Z to issue ‘Live in Brooklyn’ EP
Couldn’t make it to Brooklyn for one of Jay-Z’s sold-out shows that helped christen the new Barclays Center? Or maybe you were too busy to tune into the live stream that capped the last of his eight-night run on Saturday?
The rap titan is offering yet another opportunity to relive his homecoming with his first live release in more than a decade, “Live in Brooklyn.†Curated from Saturday’s show, the eight-song EP will be exclusively available on iTunes on Tuesday.
Although a set list isn’t available, the EP will feature audio and separate video of the eight songs taken from the show, according to iTunes.
Jay’s wife, Beyoncé, dropped in on the closing show and shimmied her way through a two-song set that reduced those pregnancy rumors to just that, and a picture of the couple enjoying post-show Champagne also helped. She also later joined Jay-Z for the closing number, “Young Forever,†which begs to be included in the release.
His last live album was “Jay-Z: Unplugged,†which was pulled from his 2001 MTV special. “Live in Brooklyn†is available for pre-order now.
